Information kept on your device

True 4K Collections stores your Collection and Wishlist locally. This includes movie and television identifiers and metadata, editions, Overall and Picture Quality ratings, season ratings, classifications, viewing and purchase statuses, expected arrival dates, added/acquired dates, notes and any Amount paid you enter. Display/filter preferences, an unfinished editing draft, and temporary metadata or image caches may also remain on your device. Optional fields can be left blank. We do not operate an account system or a server that synchronizes your collection.

TMDB and posters

Online search and metadata use The Movie Database (TMDB). This version requires a TMDB credential supplied by you. The Android app stores that credential encrypted with a key protected by Android Keystore. It sends the credential to TMDB to authenticate API requests over HTTPS. Search words and requested movie or television identifiers are sent to TMDB; loading posters makes requests to its image service. Those services receive normal connection information such as your IP address. The app does not send your edition notes, personal ratings or Amount paid as part of these requests. TMDB operates under its own privacy policy: TMDB privacy policy . Wiser Apps does not control TMDB's retention of request information.

External links

If you choose a TMDB, Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Gruv or DigiRaw link, the relevant website opens. Retailer search links can include the title you selected. External services may receive your IP address and other browser information and apply their own privacy policies. The app does not handle purchases made on those websites.

Backups, transfers and exports

Android may back up or transfer the collection database and display preferences according to your device settings and its backup provider. The database includes an unfinished editing draft. The app's backup rules exclude its TMDB credential, Keystore-related files, WebView storage and caches. Automatic recovery is not guaranteed; keep a separate manual backup.

You may export your collection as JSON and restore a supported JSON backup, or export a readable CSV. Files contain your saved collection information, including optional notes and recorded amounts, but not your TMDB credential. Export files are not encrypted by this app. Their storage and any sharing depend on the location or service you choose. Wiser Apps does not automatically receive these files.

Analytics, advertising and accounts

The current app includes no advertising, analytics service, integrated crash-reporting service, advertising identifier collection, or app accounts. There is no developer-operated collection cloud synchronization. Android and Google Play may process their own diagnostic or store information under their policies and your settings.

Your choices and retention

You control your local records and optional fields through the app. You can remove your TMDB credential in Settings. Local information remains until you remove it or remove the app's local storage. Copies in exported files and Android backups must be managed separately through their storage location or backup provider. Clearing or uninstalling the app does not necessarily delete separate backups. Wiser Apps cannot retrieve or delete collection files kept only on your device.

If you contact support, your email address and the information you send are received through our email provider to respond to your request. Do not send API credentials or private collection backups unless a specific need has been explained and agreed.

We keep support emails only as long as needed to handle the request or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion by emailing wiserappz@gmail.com. Deletion may be subject to applicable legal retention requirements.

Intended audience

True 4K Collections is intended for teens and adults aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13. This intended audience is separate from the content rating assigned by a store.
